Braunston

At
the centre of the midlands canal network, Braunston is at the junction of the
Grand Union and Oxford Canals, and as well as some nice pubs, it has a thriving
marina and hosts several meetings as well as an annual regatta.
Oundle
To
the North West of the county, Oundle is best known for its public school, it is
also a lovely picturesque town, with many fine buildings. Nearby is the unique National
Dragonfly Museum Ashton Mill, Ashton, the only Dragonfly museum and reserve

Towcester

This
lovely village to the West of the county, is built on the A5 Watling Street, the
roman road linking London with Holyhead in North Wales. In roman times, the town
was known as Lactodorum.
This road brought much traffic over the
centuries, and Towcester has been a busy coaching town ever since.
Towcester
has a thriving antiques trade and is the closest town to the world famous
Silverstone Racing circuit
